TLDR : Answer Summary
Users in the discussion confirm that UK £50 notes can still be accepted at currency exchanges in Thailand until the new notes are fully in circulation. However, some places may prefer the new plastic notes and the exchange rate may vary for old notes. It's advised to ensure the notes are in good condition to avoid rejection.
Don't know for UK but Netherlands is 20 years for using them as usual. After that you can change them in "the Dutch bank" (government institute) eternal.
I know they don't accept them at the exchange in Sukhumvit rd next to Nana Sta . I have new ones and the girl said lucky you don't have these one's pointing at a photo of the old £50
