Hi everyone! I’m new to the group and have a question regarding the 500,000 THB proof of funds requirement. I have an account in another country where I used to work, but it’s with a broker, not a bank. I currently have €11,000 there. Could I combine those €11,000 from the broker with €2,000 held in a Spanish bank account?

Thanks!
Summary so far
The user inquires about the possibility of combining €11,000 from a brokerage account with €2,000 from a Spanish bank to meet the Thai visa's 500,000 THB proof of funds requirement. Several comments explain that only cash in a bank account is accepted, and funds must be available for the last three months. Users note that some embassies may have varying requirements regarding the length of time the funds must be held.

Nope. Learn to read the requirements. Only "cash" is accepted. And that is pretty clear in the eVisa application.

Take some time to read the previous posts in the group thoroughly, since you haven’t understood even the most basic requirements.

The money has to be readily available, if f.ex. you need to pay for hospital before you can get any treatment.

No, you cannot. You will need 500k in your account for the last 3 months. But if all you got is 13.000 € maybe you should reconsider…

That they asked from you only a closing balance does not mean this is the truth for everyone on every embassy.

I just tell what is on the official evisa website.

"4.

Financial evidences: (1) last-3-month bank statement(s) from any bank(s) with a minimum balance of 500,000 THB or equivalent; or (2) sponsorship letter(s)"

Maybe for you it is difficult to understand what "minimum balance" is meaning, but when you can not understand such simple things you better not accuse others of spreading misinformation, because you are the one spreading misinformation.

some embassies even ask for 6 month, so stop talking without knowing. I just hope London will also align with the other embassies as soon as possible

A lot of embassies want to see the amount for the full 3 months, so nothing misleading

Where are you applying? Majority of embassies don't accept brokerage accounts. Some in USA do.
