Hi all, thanks for letting me in - me and my Swedish wife are on our second TV and we are staying long time in Thailand. We are going on a trip to Vietnam by air and I was wondering if anyone have any experience arriving back here in Phuket for a 30 (+30) day visa exemption after having two consecutive TV. After this we are more than likely to apply for another TV again it just did not fit this time.

We have the funds needed so technically it would work but as Thailand is Thailand I just wanted to hear if anyone had experience of a scenario like this even if it can change of course in real life ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Thanks. //PJ

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquires about their imminent travel back to Thailand after two consecutive tourist visas (TV) and whether they would qualify for a 30-day visa exemption upon arrival in Phuket after a trip to Vietnam. They express concern over potential issues, given the varying interpretations of immigration rules by officials at passport control. Comments suggest that while it is possible, having adequate documentation such as proof of cash, onward travel, and hotel reservations is crucial to mitigating risks.

No one can give you the answer you are wanting. Because it comes down to the immigration officer you get when you stamp into the country at passport control.

All you can do is be prepared with the 3-proof-ofz; proof of 20K baht or the equivalent in CASH, proof of onward travel in 30 days and proof of a hotel booking or confirmed lodging and hope for the best.

Coming in on a VE with two previous b2b TVs is much riskier than using a TV. Make sure you have 20k cash, hotel reservation and onward flight ticket.
