TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about potential issues re-entering Thailand under the visa exemption rule after a previous 90-day stay. Commenters affirm that returning should not pose problems, suggesting that earlier travelers have had successful entries after similar circumstances. However, some advise considering a NON-O visa for peace of mind to avoid concerns about an onward ticket or extension.

will apply for a visa? Do you have a Thai bank account already? If not definitely apply for a Non-O before you travel, I'd do that anyway

Just why not apply for visa? Like the amount of time you spent typing that out and looking at responses you could simply apply for a visa. lol

Of course have an onward travel ticket within 60 days (maybe required by your airline)

You will be fine, I flew into Don Mueang airport and I just went back home in May and came back 2 weeks ago

You could play safe and apply for a 90-day Non-O visa if you meet the requirements. Then you won’t need to worry about an onward ticket within 60 days or an extension.
