Will I have any problems crossing into Thailand from Malaysia by land, and do I need to show 20,000 baht in cash?

Hi all,

We're currently in Penang, Malaysia and want to go to Trang, Thailand via ferry and bus entering at Satun.

Will we have any problems crossing there and do they ask for the 20k baht cash?

The last time we were in Thailand was in December and that was by air. We've never entered Thailand by land before.

Any info is helpful.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about crossing into Thailand from Malaysia via land for the first time, specifically through the ferry and bus route to Trang, and whether they will be required to show 20,000 baht in cash at the border.
