TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience at Jomtien Immigration where they received a free extension of their special COVID visa until April 25. A year ago my doctor gave me one year to live.

Went back today, told him covid ruined that year.

He thought, nodded his head ,and gave me another year.

LOOK at the stamp in your passport (OR post an image of the last two stamps you got) the one good until March 11 and then the one you got today) I think you will see that ONE of those stamps (the one until the 11th) was an "under consideration" stamp and when you went back they just gave the rest of the extension until April 25 ;)

doesn't know how the system works! Nobody pays for the closing out because you've already paid for it.

Rowena Dos. It's when you return to immigration after your "under consideration" period. Every 60-day covid extension requires two visits to immigration. The first visit you pay the money and are given an "under consideration" stamp and told to return two weeks later, when the remainder of the 60 days is stamped into your passport.

Rowena Dos. It's not free. You've already paid for it two weeks ago. Nobody pays for the closing out.

I believe on the 25 Jan they gave you an appointment on March 11 (file under consideration) to receive a 2 months extension from 26 Jan to 25 April.
