Hi all. Anyone on a dtv under Muay Thai. I'm in Kanchanaburi. Unfortunately no gym here has the sports accredited certificate . For approval. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to stay in Bangkok. Thanks in advance. πŸ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on finding a Muay Thai gym with the necessary sports accreditation for their DTV visa in Kanchanaburi, as local gyms do not hold this certification and the user prefers not to travel to Bangkok.

I am not familiar with DTV and Muay Thai. If your DTV is based on that, does it have to be a gym where you will be actually training or any gym in Thai can accept you?

You said you are in Kanchanaburi (been there, River Kwai), it is a fair stretch hours and hours, even flights to Chiang Mai or Phuket that other replies suggested.

Just tell us here, for the benefit of other members of the group.

50m from my home in Bangkok, there is a Muay Thai gym, it did not exist before the DTV was introduced.

Yes I'm not sure if you really have to attend. But I'm in Bangkok in a few days so I'll ask them . To be fair they probably don't mind as long as you paid up for a 6 month course. It definitely has to be a Muay Thai gym as the dtv visa is based on cultural experience.

if you apply for the DTV stating Muay Thai. Do you have to attend & train. Or can you just pay for the course πŸ˜‰πŸ˜

. Iv been thought the documents with him already. He doesn't have the sports accredited certificate as he's just a small gym. Everything else he's got. It's a shame really.
