I am an independent contractor from the USA. I have always filed my taxes as a sole proprietor so I do not have a business entity or LLC. Will this be an issue? I have all the bank statements, can easily get contract letters. I don't have a "portfolio" but could submit a CV, references etc. Any thoughts about how to proceed? I have been searching the site but it appear most people have an official business that they contract out from. I dont have that so wondering if I should try another direction. Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, an independent contractor from the USA, is concerned about applying for a visa in Thailand without having a business entity or LLC. They have bank statements and can provide contract letters but lack a traditional portfolio. Responses suggest that using a CV and references may suffice for establishing their work history, and that it is common for sole proprietors to apply for visas without a formal business structure.
You should be fine using your CV, references, and contracts to establish your work history. Many sole proprietors operate without an LLC. If you want a second set of eyes on your CV, I review resumes for free, shoot me a message.
