TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat shares their recent experience of being denied entry into Thailand after their fourth visa run on a 30-day visa exemption at Chiang Mai airport. Despite having no negative history and following typical entry requirements, they were refused entry, prompting discussions about visa regulations and the increasing scrutiny on multiple back-to-back visa exempt entries.

Guys... First thanks for positive and useful feedback. I really didn't want this to become a negative thread... But some of it is very negative... It's Facebook so what can I expect.
But guys... We are not enemies so let's share help.
if you can't understand why you got denied entry it is not other people being negative. If you don't accept the advice and argue the point it will get you nowhere. We are trying to help you understand. But like most farang you think you are above the law or want to change it. Short answer is you can't. Deal with it, get a proper visa and move on. Just because you got denied, don't accuse us of being unhelpful. Good day to you too sir. And good luck in the future
However, this change only applies to visitors who have not obtained a visa beforehand, and are entering from the border by land. Those who arrive at the airport without a prior visa will continue to receive a 30-day stamp up to 6 times per calendar year. Extensions at Thai Immigration for the visa exemption stamps remain to be 30 days for a fee of 1,900 baht.
4 entries is too many on the free visa. Go back to another country and get the 2 month tourist visa

Which airport did you use to enter? Also if you have a ticket out of thailand within 30 days?

What airport?

I honestly believe that if you leave the country for a few months, then return you should be all good. Hard to know really, but that in itself should sway the thoughts of illegally working.

Theyre cracking down on multiple back to back visa exempt entries . Getting an actual visa will avoid this.
