Why can't I see all the comments on my posts in the Thai visa advice Facebook group?

FACEBOOK PAGE BUG?

On several posts, I cannot see the first three comments. On my own last post/question, I had only three comments (which I’m certain contained answers for me); but ALAS! (Shakespearean flavor) I could not see any of them!

Is there a bug here? Or do I have to be a member for a year before I can see all the comments?

This only happens on the “Thai visa advice” page.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is experiencing an issue with not being able to see the first three comments on their posts in the 'Thai visa advice' Facebook group, questioning if it's a bug or if there's a membership requirement. Responses suggest that clicking the post's timestamp may reveal hidden comments, and there is no rule related to membership duration affecting comment visibility.

I noticed I was missing some comments in general. Then I read that if I click on the time stamp for the post the comments will appear. This has worked for me on my iPhone so worth a try.
Ellie *******
Try to click timestamp of your post. Not sure for your case, but In some cases this works as workaround.

But this was the answer by Tod Daniels: I have never seen someone go from an extension of stay based on employment to one based on retirement inside the country.

In theory there is nothing prohibiting it because as you said all you're doing is changing the reason for your extension from work to being over 50 (retirement).

You would have to have documentation from your company stating on xxx date you are stopping work, you would cancel your work permit and take that receipt and the termination paperwork from your company to the immigration office, cancel your current extension based on employment and immediately apply for a new yearly extension based on being over 50 by meeting the financial requirements of 800K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 60 days prior to your application, a notarized affidavit of income from abroad from your consulate stating you get at least 65K baht a month in income or a combination of banked money and the notary document that totals 800K baht for the year.

IF you try it and it works please report back :)

Ron van den Heever I’ve tried this three times, and they change the game each time. Each clerk has their own set of requirements. Very frustrating.

we did a lot of paperwork from the company side as well as my side, I can't remember which forms I signed. What we (company and I) did was to go and speak with the immigration before hand and we compiled a list of documents needed. This was done well in advance. After we gathered all the docs we went back to immigration for them to look at these docs. After they okayed it we terminated the work permit and did the change. Goodluck.

John, after I posted my answer
@Amornrat *********
, posted that they'd seen it done twice so that means it can be done.

You're NOT getting a new visa or anything all you're doing is changing the REASON for your extension. You're going from an extension based on employment to one based on being over 50.

You only need the TM.7 application for extension and the correct documentation required by the immigration office for an extension of stay based on being over 50 (retirement).

Do you remember filling out one or two immigration forms for this?

I did this conversion in Huahin 2 years ago. It will depend on the office and the immigration officer involved. I had a good relationship with this office over an extended time which made it easier. Goodluck.

There is no such rule of long time members are allowed to read all the comments. It must be a facebook thing.
