Is soft power approval rate more versus workcation applications? I can apply under both but thinking which category has higher success chances of approval
Answer summary
When considering whether to apply under the Soft Power or Workcation visa categories in Thailand, it's important to analyze the approval rates and the matching of your profile with the requirements of each visa. Based on community insights, applicants who have solid documentation generally find that the Workcation visa may offer a slight advantage in terms of approval chances, particularly if the embassy and personal circumstances align favorably. On the other hand, the Soft Power visa is recommended if you have a less straightforward paperwork situation or are looking to engage in specific cultural activities. Ultimately, the best route depends on your qualifications and the specific purpose of your visit.

Workcation allows you to be in Thailand as Digital Nomad/Freelancer/remote worker.

Soft Power is for people training Muay Thai or leaning to cook

What is YOUR purpose to visit Thailand, choose the correct one.

Different purpose, different requirements, not yours to mix and match

I believe workcation has a slight advantage if your documents are solid. It also depends on the embassy you apply. I’ve seen several rejected cases (both online and people I know). Most of the cases are with either self-employed, employment documents of unreliable/uncertified origins, freelancer, or soft power route.

Well if they ever did require ongoing courses and proof of attendance for SP you would have to book and pay for courses for 5 years. No current sign of that happening though. Extensions are probably easier with Workaytion if you ever did go that route.

If you have all of the paperwork for workcation, it’s not a problem to apply.

Most people who have trouble with this are self-employed or freelancer without long-term contracts so they write letters from themselves authorizing themselves to work remotely and stuff like that.

Soft power activities are recommended if your paperwork trail is messy or incomplete. It’s a great way to learn cultural activities if you’re interested.

Bro … what kinda question is this….

People who qualify for each qualification route get approved.

If you are looking for a loop hole you probably don’t qualify
