TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying for a Soft Power Muay Thai Visa and is uncertain about the length of stay to indicate on the application. The gym provided a letter for a one-year duration, but the user plans to stay for only 3-5 months. Comments suggest indicating under 180 days since this is acceptable for such applications.

359 days, live can be so easy if you know the rules.

Day of arrival is day 1, you stay is 180 days, than an 180 day Extension of Stay and than you have to leave Thailand, but are allowed to come back as long as your DTV is valid.

180 days is fine, or however long you plan to stay on your first entry.
