For Non-B visa in Amnesty: 30 days Extension Location

Dear all,

I had a Non-B Visa which was cancelled in May 2020, and was in Amnesty thereafter. Upon obtaining the Embassy letter, I went to the BKK immigration office, Counter K for the 30 day extension. The process was smooth till the last moment, then I was told that I need to go to another building at N1 (see circled location in the pic) instead of Counter K, as I had Non-B visa before. This happened to another friend of mine.

So in case any of you had the same visa as me, you need to go to that building circled (sorry as it’s in Thai, I don’t know the exact name of the building) instead of Counter K. It’s a 10mins ride or ~80B by taxi from Counter K.

Hope it helps.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post outlines the procedure for obtaining a 30-day extension on a Non-B visa under Amnesty in Thailand. It informs readers that after acquiring an embassy request letter, they should not go to Counter K at the BKK immigration office but instead to a different building (location N1) specifically for individuals with Non-B visas. The summary includes a confirmation from a comment emphasizing that only certain visa types are directed to the Muang Thong Thani immigration office, indicating the correct route for Non-B visa holders.

I see a trip to Chaengwattana in your near future.. :)

That is totally correct and I don't know who told you to go to Muang Thong Thani Immigration office for your 30 day embassy request letter.

On the banner they put out about it, it specifically mentions that ONLY people who entered on a 15 day visa on arrival, a 30 day visa exempt, a 30 day visa waiver OR a 60 day tourist visa go to the Muang Thong Thani immigration location

You would go to the section who gave you the Non-B extension (Section N) at Chaengwattana..
