Just went to Chaengwattana to Self-file my TM30 and presented all the documents needed. The immigration officer told me I still need the power of attorney of the house owner - even for self-file.

I just thought you need that if you file on BEHALF of the house owner.

My question now is: where can I find the official form for the power of attorney? I tried the immigration website but I cannot open or download several PDF files that are on there.

Thank you very much in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat seeking to self-file a TM30 was informed by immigration that they need a power of attorney from the house owner, even for self-filing. They are looking for the official form for the power of attorney, facing difficulties in accessing it from the immigration website.

Yes, Rules has changed, as we mention this over and over again.

There are over 70 Immigration Offices and every office enforce the rules of address registration in slightly different ways.

If you file in Chang Mai, I can tell you that it will be different than Phuket. Good luck as there is not much we can do.

Ask your office how to file and once done your landlord, house owner or you, can use the on line systems.

Isn't just a completed TM30 application form and the lease rental agreement sufficient for a self file? The rules have changed?

Guess the lesson here is: don't pay rent I until landlord files TM30 and gives you a receipt for your passport.

If you are returning to same address, it might not be necessary. Depends on immigration office.

Ask the landlord to download the app and do it on line

I am never paying one dollar of rent until landlord files TM30 and gives me an official immigration receipt.

the house owner already registered me at her place. But I left the country for vacation and thought that I can just self-file now once Iโ€™m back. But apparently I cannot without power of attorney ๐Ÿ˜…

As you also need the tax stamps to make this document official, best is to visit a stationary shop, for a few Thb you get the form and the stamps.
