I plan on extending my tourist visa in Bangkok but am not sure where it is done.  I remember reading somewhere that it is done at  a different location than the main Thai immigration office.  Does anyone know the address for getting a Tourist Visa extended in Bangkok?  Thx in advance. :)

I tried to extend my 60 day single entry "TR" at the main office, but they sent me away to go to the local office near to where I was staying...

You apply for the 30 day extension of stay at your local Thai Immigration office where you have a TM30 registered on file.

you get all extensions at the office that serves the area where you're staying <- meaning IF you're going to use bangkok to get extensions you need to show an address in bangkok 🙂

If you have a REAL tourist visa <- that you bought at a thai consulate before you arrived here and were stamped in to thailand for 60 days you go to the main immigration office at the government complex (Building B) out on Chaengwattana Road. Here;

You want counter J in the immigration office

However if you didn't buy a visa before you came here and were stamped in free for 30 days you're not here on a tourist visa, (and in fact it's not a visa at all) just a free entry stamp and to get a 30 day extension on that you go to the immigration office at IT Square Laksi Plaza here
