For ‘current location’ do you put your Vietnam address? If so, is the Thailand e-visa form done once in Vietnam?

Yes, I put my Vietnam address as current location. Important note: you need to be physically present in the jurisdiction of the consulate you select during application (in my case, Ho Chi Minh City consulate). So your current location should match the consulate's jurisdiction you're applying through.

Anonymous participant got it so a hotel address in Ho chi min should be written down and you should already have your Vietnam visa entry stamp?

Yes, exactly. You need to have:

1. A valid Vietnam visa/entry stamp

2. Your actual address in Ho Chi Minh City (hotel or apartment)

3. Be physically present in the consulate's jurisdiction area (for HCMC consulate it's Southern Vietnam)

I used my apartment address in HCMC, but a hotel address works too - just make sure you're actually staying there during the application process.

How long did it take to get the Authentication/Apostille Certificate from the federal State Department in Washington, DC after mailing in your State-level Secretary of State Authentication/Apostille? (or, did the federal State Department resume walk-in service yet for Authentications/Apostilles?)

I didn't need to get an Authentication/Apostille from the State Department. The company provided me with their Certificate of Status directly from the Department of State, which includes an online verification code.

Anonymous participant Oh! Thanks, as when you referenced "State Department", I had incorrectly inferred the federal U.S. Department of State, but this is the State-level Department of State....

Thank you once again! Congratulations on your DTV! And, hopefully Welcome to Thailand soon!

I applied online and selected Ho Chi Minh City consulate during the application process. Didn't need to visit the consulate in person - everything was done through the e-Visa system.

You're absolutely right - I apologize for the confusion in my post. There is indeed no minimum income requirement for DTV, only the 500,000 THB bank balance requirement. Thank you for the correction! 🙏

Hi, just to re-confirm, we dont have to provide the Thai address proof + estimated of arrivals + flight numbers to Thai right?

@Thiên *****
Not necessary. Many applicants are entering Thailand by land after applying for a DTV in a neighboring country.

That's correct! You don't need to provide Thai address proof, estimated arrival dates, or flight numbers. The system only requires the basic info about your intended first entry point.

Are you the owner of the company? If do did you write a letter from yourself to say you can work remotely etc? Wondering as you said last 6 months invoices also what is the employment certificate?
Like
Reply
Paul *******
Exactly the same for me. I have my own sole proprietary company, but I didn't provide it for the purposes of my application. Instead, all employment documents were from my employer.

Actually, I have my own company but for this application, I used documents from my employment with a US company where I work as a engineer. I provided their employment contract, certificate, and company verification documents. So all employment documentation was from my employer, not my own company.
