Hi guy's. I'm looking for some advice on visas, I'm hoping to move out to Thailand next year. I don't qualify for a retirement Visa as I'm not 50 for quite a while and I don't need a work visa.

What is my best way. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion outlines various visa options for individuals planning to move to Thailand without qualifying for a retirement or work visa. Suggested options include the Elite Visa, which is a paid visa offering convenience; an education visa, which requires some attendance in language classes; a tourist visa with potential renewal or border runs; a marriage visa if applicable; and general advice on consulting an immigration lawyer upon arrival in Thailand.

I have been here now on back-to-back tourist visas. I have had success but most would advise against it. It's a risk. PM if you want to know more

they placed a stamp in my passport also added it to the computer file for me, I confirmed it too with immigration, Tom boy officer at dm airport did as she was having a bad day and wasn’t appreciating tourists doing back to back, surely you know about the big crackdown on it? Just to note bud

I come here 12 years ago and did 3 years education visa.

I believe attendance is required now but it’s only 2-4 hrs a week.

It will give you time to look at all the options and maybe learn a bit of thai.

Marriage visa now for the last 7 years.

Very easy.

I'd be happy to attend a few hours of thai classes per week as long as it's not an every day thing.

I have a none O visa based on having a foreign child in a Thai private school, even though he was born in Thailand and is half Thai, I have to show the school receipts/licences and a his birth cert plus a few other bits etc except nothing financial though. I get my visa from the Thai Embassy in Hull in the UK which just so happens to be my home town, not sure if you have kids but I think its either none o for supporting a child or marriage.

I will confirm this but to be blunt to get the none O

Birth Cert

Copy of the schools licences

Copy of letter from the school stating he is in etc term info

Copy of his passports (thai and UK)

... sorry hit enter to early but just found this, seems spot on what I needed

If your doing it in Hull and your from the UK you do not need to show any financial stuff at all.
