Hi everyone , we are from HK , now stay in Phuket study in international school . My boy in 12 years old ,we would like to start homeschool and we are now in ed and non-o visa , but after not attend to the school , any appropriate visa we can apply for ? DTV ?

Many thanks 🙏

Answer summary

The discussion revolves around visa options for a family living in Thailand who currently hold education (ED) and Non-O visas. They're interested in transitioning to homeschooling for their 12-year-old son while in Phuket. Comments suggest that one adult might apply for the DTV workcation visa, allowing the other family members to apply as dependents. However, it is emphasized that the son needs a valid educational visa, like the Non-Immigrant ED visa, since homeschooling does not meet requirements for visa documentation.

One adult can apply DTV workcation, the other family members can apply dependents

You apply for a visa that fits your purpose of stay in Thailand?

If you work on-line it is the DTV workcation.

IF you do not work and are in Thailand to support your son going to a Thai school it is the Non Immigrant O visa,

Your son needs to go school and therefor needs a Non Immigrant ED visa, homschooling does not provide documents for a visa.
