What type of visa should I apply for to study Muay Thai in Thailand, and when should I apply?

Question

Hey, I need your help please. I would like to start of next year March for approx. 1 year to Thailand to visit several schools for Muay Thai aka Thai Soft Power. I've been trying to reach the consulate for 14 days. By phone and mail. But no chance. What kind of visa should I apply? DTV? And when should I apply for it? Thank you very much for your help. Best regards

The user is seeking advice on the type of visa necessary for a year-long visit to Thailand to study Muay Thai. Suggestions from the community indicate that a DTV visa or a specific Muay Thai learning visa would be appropriate. It is crucial to enroll in an accredited Muay Thai gym and obtain the necessary documentation for the visa application. The application should be made from outside Thailand and may take 14-16 days to process.

You’ll need to sign up for courses before you apply and should be 6 months

You need to look for a muay thai gym where you want to stay that is accredited by the thai sports authority and are allowed to give you documents that prove you have enrolled on a course and it is accredited. These documents are then used for you application through your home country or country you are currently staying (cannot be inside thailand to apply for a DTV) through the thai e visa online system. The Visa can take up to 14-16 days.
