Very mundane question.. And you have had it one million time's.. Vientiane was choka block yesterday ended up getting seen near closing to received my ticket for picking up my visa tomorrow..high number 249...I'm not gonna go late or that but is there much point in me going before 2 pm to pick up my tourist visa..Sorry todd and the other admin lol ..remove the post if you see fit 😀

You just need two passport photos, photocopies of passport picture page, Laos visa/entry stamp and the money. No other documentation is needed. You can get the form there, and can do passport photos and copies there as well, or do in advance. You can't do the copies before you enter Laos obviously.

What did you need for your visa at Vientiane and did you get the form online and fill in before you went, reason I ask I am going to Vientiane for a 1 tourist visa start of October, just want everything in check before I go

249 isn't that high. They will do maybe a little under 200 an hour, so I'd turn up an hour after they start (which is 13:30, so 14:30). I had I think 385 or so once (and there were that many again after me) and got that back around 15:30.

As long as you show up by 3:30 you're fine. After 3:30 they'll cancel your visa in the passport and make you start over.

*FREE pro-tip;

NEVER EVER go on a Monday OR on Thursday <- the visa run companies go on those days.

I noticed the big groups too on Monday recently but got there at 6am Mon and got ticket number 2. For me it was worth the effort to go early to easily get that 6pm Udon Thani flight next day. I had to do mine on Mon.
