What should I know about the visa pick-up process in Vientiane for my visa run?

Hi all, just want to share something about the visa run to Vientiane. For picking up your visa, they don't let you in before 1:30 so there is no need to go early. Also, in the booking confirmation email for the new appointment system, they give you a 'queue number' - this is used on the second day for pick-up as well as the first day for submitting. They call numbers 1 to 20 first to pick up the visa, then it was 21 to 60, etc. So its not even worth going early and queuing up because they hand back the passports depending on your number. Just turn up when the door opens at 1:30, you can go in and sit down, you just have to wait until your number is called. Hope this helps some people avoid hanging around in the heat!
