I'm currently awaiting my 60 day visa application being approved. Sent mine off on 3rd. October, today's update is "Pending for Decision ".
Did an Ai search online and the information that I got back was , 15 working days, Thai national holiday don't count as working days , so come the 27th. All will be well. !
Steven Moulder - That’s what I was going to do however following a conversation with the airline they wouldn’t guarantee that I’d be allowed to fly without an onward or return ticket valid within the first 30 days , even though I bought and paid for this ticket before Trump 🤡 started his war in the Middle East it’s non transferable which I wasn’t aware of , I asked about buying a ticket to Laos or Vietnam and was informed that I’d have to prove that the ticket was genuine and paid for , when I asked why they were making this difficult for tourists they said there’s no guarantee that me or anyone else would definitely get a Visa Exemption extension 🤷♂️ , it pisses me off that these Airlines hold so much power over people’s travel arrangements , it’s highly unlikely that any genuine tourists will not get a Visa Exemption extension !!! 😡😡😡
Thanks everyone a technophobe like me got there eventually , you were correct if you said it was to do with payment , I thought I’d completed payment this morning however I am definitely an idiot and I hadn’t completed it , so all good now , it doesn’t mean I’ve done everything correctly as it’s pending and I may yet lose my 30 quid and have to submit another application ……….. no doubt I’ll find out soon !!! 👍👍👍
Peter Slaman - The box next to says incomplete , nothing happens when I try to click on it mate , it’s got me stumped , I think everything else is ok . 🤷♂️😡
Arve Lufc Pedersen explain to me how I am not a tourist if I want to enter Thailand on a 60 day tourist visa? You seemed triggered that I have said it is easier to get a tourist visa for Vietnam compared to Thailand.
Sue Heimchen Vietnam does not require the documentation the Thai eVisa asks for. Vietnam does not need airlines ticket, hotel bookings for the duration of the stay and it does not matter where the Vietnam eVisa is applied from. 90 days for $25.
Sue Heimchen unfortunately it has not been that easy for me. I have had to travel to Kuala Lumpur from Vietnam to submit the application, and now the embassy have asked to provide documentation that I had already submitted delaying the process.
Peter Slaman and Vietnam doesn’t care from which country I apply for the eVisa but I have to fly to Malaysia because the Thai embassy in Vietnam won’t accept applications for tourists visa for non residents of Vietnam. So yeah Peter, Vietnam is an easier visa than Thailand.
Peter Slaman $25 and no throwaway ticket, no booked hotels for the duration, no requests for further information, yeah Vietnam is a far easier visa process. Once I have my LTR, I won’t have to go through this nonsense.
What you’re stuck on is likely waiting for payment, go to completed and where it lists the application is a small box to the left to select it then the icon for payment will be active and you can pay and submit
