Retirement Visa Advice Needed!

My Mom is applying for her first retirement visa (1-year, multiple entry).

Application requires a specific Thai government certificate executed by her insurance company in the US.

Her insurance company won’t sign and stamp this as it is not their document.

Suggestions?

When I applied for the OA in 2021 I had my insurance company write a letter, on their letterhead, confirming coverage that met or exceeded the Thai government’s minimums. It was accepted without further documentation

Any particular reason why she's choosing the non Imm OA instead of the more common non Imm O?

If its for OA visa. Its easier to get the policy from AXA Thailand. Get the easy care cheapest policy that covers the visa

The answer depends on where she is and what she is applying for. Get a 90-Non-O before leaving the US. When in Thailand apply for a 1-year extension at the local Immigration Office. Take what you have and you may find out that they are woried about insurance.

My USA insurance company wouldn't add the covid statement. I just bought Thai insurance which I never use except for visa extension purposes.

It is totally useless except for emergencies and then of you use it the premium skyrocket from what I hear.

Apply for the 90 day non-O which doesn't require insurance. Your only other option is purchasing insurance from the approved list of Thai insurance companies posted by the embassy.
