What should I know before applying for my first 12-month Type-O spouse visa extension in Thailand?

I'm applying for my first 12 month extension, Type-O spouse visa tomorrow at Chaeng Watthana. Any last minute advice? I have all the documents ready, will stop at my bank in the AM for documents.

On a side note, any advice on how to survive as a pedestrian in Bangkok? For as kind as the Thai people are, I am appalled at their attitude towards pedestrians, even in marked zebra stripe crossings.

I was on the sidewalk today, crossed between a truck waiting to enter the road from an alley, and a taxi (both stopped) - apparently the taxi driver didn't like that, as I was passing in front he almost ran me over (intentionally).
