Does it need to show that you'll be at that 1 hotel your entire 30 days? What if you're moving around to different areas and staying in different lodging? Will they accept if it shows you're only in that hotel a couple days?
If you were at A guest house that has four or less rooms they are not required to register as a hotel and are much more likely to not report to immigration

Every landlord has a register a foreigner staying at their address within 24 hours, even private households in the smallest of villages. The law applied to all. Don't stay at such places if you require a TM30 for anything at Immigration.
You want a physical, printed copy of your TM30 before you go to immigration for anything. So ask your hotel next time so they'll be forced to do it if they haven't yet.

or be sure the hotel you are staying in actually files the tm30 with Thai Immigration. A few don't... operating without licensing and not wanting to pay INCOME TAX.
it is a lot of work for a small hotel to report tm30's. It is not so much licencing- a hotel with less than 9 rooms does not need a licence. It is just a pointless system. It only records arrivals and not departures so is not a real check of people's movements. It can seem a waste of time reporting so many don't bother.
Chris Docherty It is not "a lot" of work at all anymore with online system and CM Immigration has required TM 30 for pretty much everything including tourist extensions for nearly two decades now. A small hotel who refused to do it just because it is "work" would be demonstrating atrocious customer service and you should never stay in such a place even if you didn't need TM30 because such attitudes likely carry over to cleaning, sanitation, and billing practices as well. Nearly all hotels in CM will do TM30. If they won't, stay far away.
yes but it doesn't happen often. If you turn up at immigration it does not matter how many times you tell them it is the property owners fault they will find you and not the owner.
bottom line is that the owner of any property which house a foreigner in Thailand are responsible for the filing of the tm30 Address registration form with Thai Immigration within 24 hours of your arrival.
I would assume that they do not register you, unless it is a large hotel with lots of staff.. it seems a broken system which can only be enforced by fining the guests.
understood...then it's important to know that by the guest registering ...as a tm30 is needed to obtain Thai Immigration office services.... such as an extension of stay.
