Hi guys, hoping to get my first Covid extension on Thursday in Chiang Mai, if I move to Phuket for a month or two soon after, are there any implications other than TM30 etc? Also any advice on the requirements for internal flights, will Covid extension be ok to fly on? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Covid extension in Thailand is valid for 60 days, and traveling to another city like Phuket should only require filing a TM30 within 24 business hours of your arrival there. For internal flights, you do not need a visa; a Thai driver's license suffices for domestic travel. If your stay exceeds 90 days in total, you may need to do a 90-day reporting requirement depending on your visa status.

I am also on my 60 days COVID extension and will pass the 90 days in the country with Tourist visa (TR60) soon. Do I also have to do the 90 days reporting? I live in hotels in Bangkok. Thanks!

A 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 is valid for 60 days. You’ll need to plan accordingly. You will get an under contract, and you will have to close it out in Chiang Mai.

There is no visa requirement to fly domestically. Unless something changed, you do not need a passport to travel domestically if you have a Thai drivers license.

You or the property owner may have to file a TM30 no later than 24 business hours after arriving at a location that you will stay at.
