What should I do if I haven't received confirmation for my Cheang Wattana visa appointment?

A question for those who've used the Cheang Wattana visa appointment booking system.

I booked an appointment to extend my over 50 extension, made the appointment a week ago. My appointment date is still 2 weeks out being on September 16th. 

This is my first experience of using the appointment booking system.

The appointment booking process is simple and at the end of the process it tells you to take the confirmation email or sms, that will be sent to you, to CW when you go for your appointment.

So 1 week on and I've still no email or sms confirmation of the booking, is this normal, will I get a confirmation, will I still get my appointment time if I turn up with no confirmation as stated?

I've just been back into the system and my appointment is still there.

Interested in any experience from those who've used the system before.

Why not just go to immigration I've never ever had a problem there renewing any visa

I've also never had a problem, but what I'm happy to try and avoid is the before dawn travel to Cheang Wattana to then queue for an hour or so before the doors open, scramble for a ticket and then wait further for my number to be called.

If I can just book a convenient time, only need to get there 15 minutes before my appointment, be seen almost immediately and then done, why not?

It's a free system, I've only read about it up until now, so this will be my first time of trying the system.

In theory it's progress, why not give it a go?

I've always just rocked up and never waited long but i will admit they know me there so they do my visa extension straight away no waiting.

if you look in 'Files' under 'What's new?' at the top of this group's home page you will find a list going across the page, of content. The last item is 'Files'.

In 'Files', the top file is 'Retirement 1 year extension requirements pdf'. I think this list is good for Cheang Wattana.

You also need the 8th file down '4 forms. pdf' it helps if you complete these before going as well or you have to complete there.

Hello, is this appointment system only for Bangkok residents? If I want to go to the Pattaya immigration office do I need to request an appointment beforehand?

This appointment system is only for Bangkok. Pattaya may have their own appointment system, I don't know. You'll have to post in a local group

Look in your SPAM or JUNK MAIL folder. That's where the appointment confirmations usually dump into.

Also you can go back in and find your appointment, make a screen shot of the page and print that.

Remember, show up about 15 minutes early, show the appointment slip to the people who give out the queue numbers. They will send you over to Section L the first cubicle (which is document checking) show that gurl the appointment slip and she'll jump you in line and serve you next. Then there is only ONE counter that does the online appointments and it's L-1 32 and that's who you go to and show her you have an appointment
