What's a man to do if you have to submit the 90 day report but can't get time off of work? I am unable to dedicate an ENTIRE day to this ridiculousness.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the difficulties someone faces in submitting their 90-day report in Thailand due to work commitments. Comments suggest various strategies such as using an agent, filing by post or online, or going early to avoid long wait times. Some contributors argue that it shouldn't take a whole day and recommend finding time within the 21-day window or adjusting work hours to comply with immigration rules.
Don’t do it pay the fine you should have plenty of money if you don’t have an hour to do the report

Hi there,
The trick is to go early before they even open up. I went into Cheang Wattana immigration in BKK for 90 day reporting at 9:35am and finished at 4pm.
The next time I went in at 7:30am and got in the queue, I was finished by 9:10am.
Also remember that you only need to go in person the first time you do 90-day reporting after entering Thailand.

I got to the immigration office at 7:45 and was out of there in 2 hours. It doesn't take the whole day. It probably took that long because you went in the middle of the day.

Took me 30 minutes at Jomtien immigration. Would have been 10 if I had a pen and copies of my stuff already.

You can have someone go on your behalf, you don't have to go in person. Just make sure you have all the relevant documents to give them. If you are early enough you can do it by post and if it's not your first filing since entering the country you can do online

Come on… You can’t find a single day during your 90-day stay? In most cases, it doesn’t even take a whole day. Have you even tried once before complaining? Holding a 5-year easy and cheap visa in Thailand isn’t just about sitting in a cafe with your laptop… If you’re really that busy, you might as well stay in your own country.

So your remote working hours are 9-5 Thailand time. Wow lucky you, I want those hours!

You get nearly 13 weekends in a 90 day period. I'm assuming you don't work 7 days a week? Just take a weekend break out of Thailand instead. There's more to life than working every day and spending an entire day in an immigration office.

Since your job gave you permission to work remotely in Thailand they should be willing to let you report and have flexible hours for 1 day. Or you can fly out of the country over the weekend and fly back in

I just did mine in Chiang Mai and it took 15 minutes. Is it really that bad in other parts of Thailand?

Anonymous participant 312 depends if you live near by. My office is an hour and half drive away

Anonymous participant 312 Chiang Mai is probably the most efficient. In Bamgkok it can take hours at the office plus travel time.
There is more than one location to do it in CM. We usually do ours at Central Festival instead of the main airport office. Took 5 minutes last time. It's crazy that Bangkok doesn't have more than one location also.
I go to airport as easier location then pop into the Mall usually. Even Jomtien only takes about 30 mins max and yiu have to wait while they do it on batches.
Anonymous participant 312 Yeah well that 10 minutes to Jomtien or Ch8ang Mai never really was an issue. Guess yuu are just going to have to suck it up. Four years in Bangkok I never had to do it myself either. We had people for that.

Anonymous participant 312 It literally takes the entire day.
we're allowed to work on the DTV. That's why we got the visa on the first place. I also work full-time, fixed hours. And again, that's the basis why I got my DTV approved by the embassy.
