TLDR : Answer Summary
With the borders closed, holders of the Multiple Entry Tourist visa can obtain a 30-day Extension of Stay but must find a way to return home eventually. Those with a Multiple Entry Non-O visa can apply for a one-year Extension of Stay at Immigration. It's recommended to check directly with Thai Immigration for specific situations.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
  • Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.

Ask Thai Immigration.

We do not have the answer that you want to hear.

My suggestion is to get the correct visa for living in Thailand.

Good luck.

Multiple Entry Tourist visa can get a 30 day Extension of Stay and they have to find a way back home,

A Non Immigrant O visa holder can apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay at Immigration,

I try to explain, with a visa you get on entry a period of stay, that is stamped in your passport with a rectangle stamp.

First Visa type

Date on arrival

Admitted until ../../..

Before or on this Admitted until date you can make a border run with a Multiple Entry to gain a new period of stay.

OR you can visit the Immigration office and ask to stay longer than the period you had and ask to extend that period.

This has nothing to do with your visa sticker and will not change your visa sticker or the information on that visa sticker.

If you can not do a border run, you visit Immigration and ask if you can stay longer and make the application for the Extension of Stay.

a Visa is valid as mentioned on the visa under VALID UNTIL

With an Extension the Visa is Lost...?

The question was not for if it ends but if it is still Valid for some Months.

These Types need to Borderrun every 2-3 months...!
