What should I consider when reapplying for a DTV in Thailand after previous rejections?
Has anyone got any advice or similar experience
I applied for DTV in Vientiane in June and was rejected as the funds hadn’t been in my account long enough - silly mistake, I can’t count evidently they told me come back in a month and then the rules changed.
I’ve returned home to London and plan to re apply for DTV soft power Muay Thai again soon using ISSA compass.
2023 I did border runs
2024 and 2025 I had Thai language ED visas
2026 June when my ED visa ran out I went to apply in Laos and re entered Thailand on tourist visa and was interviewed at BKK and told by the IO next time I come in to make sure I have a DTV or I’m likely to be rejected entry.
I was given 60 days and extended 30 days which was a bit of a hassle getting at immigration.
When I was leaving CNX airport back to LDN I asked the IO when she was stamping me out about re entering and she said it was noted on the system what the previous IO had said to me in Bangkok and said even if I try to re enter next year on tourist I could be turned away so to make sure I have a visa already.
Obviously no one can know what’s on the cards but has anyone got similar visa history etc and any advice for next application etc
I will apply as unemployed and have support letter.

Do not use agents, They do not know how the Embassy in your resident country processes visa.

None of this is relevant. The embassy will decide if you get the visa based on their own requirements and the IO when you land will decide if you're allowed to enter.
Even if someone had been in the same exact situation as you, their situation at entry would not be related to how it goes for you. Thai immigration rules make everything random and up to the individual who looks at your passport at entry.

thanks yeah very true… just wanted to make sure there wasn’t anything I was missing for next application etc but I’ve done it before I know how it works and I know it’s individual to individual.
I was told by a dozen people not to attempt to enter Thailand again after the rejection and they allowed me anyway so there’s just no knowing

Talk to where you’re taking the Mauy Thai. They give you the things you need to apply.
You have to have a paid program at a school they recognize.
But either way. They are really taking immigration seriously right now. I wouldn’t expect much empathy.

Thankyou yeah I’m aware which is why I’m worried. I’m asking impossible questions… can only find out one way 😂The gym is recognised and have many approved dtvs from London previously and I’ve paid a yesr course, they’ve been very helpful through the whole process

they may still deny it. But if you are enrolled and have the paperwork. You’ll have to try to know
I think they know you probably won’t get a DTV. Having the history you have is grounds for denial. So. Probably just depend whose desk your application falls on.
Did you ED expire? Or you stopped attending?
Like the ED. The DtV checks your attendance you check ins.
O think you won’t know until you try.
Make sure the school is recognized. They have changed a lot of them.
And some like cooking are rarely approved without more cause.
