# Complicated Bank Statements

Hello everyone, I need some advice regarding the documents that prove my income and savings.

Nationality: China. Category: Workcation. Plan to apply in Hanoi, Vietnam.

I use two bank accounts, one in China and one in the UK. My > 500k baht savings are in my Chinese account. But my salary is transferred into my UK bank account. They obviously have different addresses. Would that be a problem? I actually don't live in the UK anymore, but I still use that bank card. Is the embassy strict about the address?

Another annoying thing is my company (based in Latin America) doesn't directly transfer salary (US dollars) into bank accounts but uses an online platform called AirTM (a bit like PayPal). When I transfer my salary from AirTM to my UK bank account, it goes through a "cashier" system: it matches a cashier for me, and they personally transfer the money into my account. In the meantime, the US dollar got exchanged into the UK pound with a horrible exchange rate. This just makes my bank statements look like random persons send me money each month. AirTM also can't generate an official transaction record, so I can only do screenshots. Therefore, I will ask for some sort of payslips from my company, aside from providing a work contract to the embassy. Hope it will back it up.

I can choose to transfer my salary into my Chinese bank account for the next few months. HOWEVER, AirTM can only transfer money into a Chinese online platform (Alipay). In that case, my documents for the embassy would need to show: AirTM>Alipay>Bank statement (I would self-translate the transaction record in Alipay into English).

Which option would be easier to understand and more appealing for the officer? (1) two bank accounts from different countries. (2) one bank account but have a long trail of transactions from different online platforms.

I've heard the embassy accepted the proof of savings from platforms like Wise in this group. I didn't find information about people using different bank accounts from different countries.

Any info is welcome. Thank you in advance! :)
Answer summary
The user is seeking advice on how to present their proof of income and savings for a visa application in Thailand, given their use of two different bank accounts located in China and the UK, and their salary being transferred via an online platform. They are concerned about how the embassy may perceive their financial documents, especially with different addresses and transaction trails. Comments suggest that as long as the accounts are in the user's name, it should meet requirements, and it's recommended to include comprehensive documentation and explanations to clarify the financial situation.

On the face of it there are no income requirements. What is important is that the bank account is in your name. In your case that should work for the 500k funding requirement. Vietnam is known for requesting 3 months of statements of account activity. In your case instead of waiting for them to request these statements it might be better to provide it with your initial application. I would definitely compose a very brief cover letter included in your financial PDF upload to explain what they are seeing and why they are seeing it in screenshots as opposed to PDFs. Don't just do a document dump but layout clearly in the table of contents, and highlight as needed the important transactions indicating revenue. Not everyone is a square block, but getting squeezed into a round hole in the digital nomad world. So organize your documents your cover letter and table of contents as best and logically as you can and hope for the best. Try not to be long-winded but as concise as possible. There should be no problem with multiple bank accounts one for activity, one for savings etc. don't forget to include a statement that you are allowed to work remotely specifically in Thailand and you will have no business dealings with thai persons or entities.

PS... The other thing you can do is hire a company like ISSA COMPASS to do a document check for you.
