I have an extension of stay based on marriage, valid until next January. I will be visiting the motherland next month. I have already got a re entry permit. On my return I will write the re entry permit number on the arrival card and I will check the date on the stamp from the IO matches the expiry date of rhe extension of stay. What else do I need to be aware of/watch out for at immigration when entering the country at BKK/SUV? Will I need to show funds? or does the extension take care of that?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When returning to Thailand with a marriage extension of stay and a re-entry permit, ensure you carefully check that the re-entry permit number is correctly written on the arrival card and that the immigration stamp date aligns with your extension expiration date. Generally, showing proof of funds is not required when entering with a valid extension, as the extension itself covers the financial requirements, but it’s wise to confirm current regulations or specific requests from immigration officers.
