Retirement Visa Application Inside Thailand, I've previously been staying on a Non-Imm-O -Multi as a UK pensioner - this has been amended to 3 months stay from 12 months. I'm aware of the financial and possible medical and police clearance requirements for a retirement visa, what is not so clear is proof of Thai address. I don't pay any rent where I stay. What do I need to provide and is there standard stationery for paying rent that immigration (Kanchanaburi) would recognise. Any practical advice would be welcome - Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the requirements for proving their Thai address while applying for a retirement visa in Thailand, specifically in Kanchanaburi. They have previously been on a Non-Imm-O visa and now face a challenge since they do not pay rent at their current accommodation. Comments provide advice on using the 'Receipt of Notification' from Immigration as proof of address, and someone shares a practical solution of using a generic lease agreement with required signatures and tax stamps to legitimize their stay.

Thank you for your help. Are you saying that the 'Receipt of Notification' as detailed above is insufficient as I don't pay any rent?

It seems that you stay at a private address inside Thailand. The house owner should have reported your stay within 24 hours after arrival. So I not understand the problem of proof of address.

not sure if this helps but II am in a similar situation and also in Kanchanaburi. I had a similar problem, solved by buying a generic pad of lease agreements and completing it with my gf brother (the owner). Needs 4 signatures and also needs 6 x 10 Baht Tax Stamps. You need a new form each year and the copies need to be photo reduce as the paper is handily bigger then A4. The rental amount is arbitrary.

I have Immigration's 'Receipt of Notification' and if you're saying that is sufficient thanks for your help. When you say 'Other Requirements', I assume you don't mean financial criteria as I presume they are standard throughout Thailand?

For all the other requirements best is to visit the Immigration Office and ask them the hand out with the requirements. It differe from office to office, benefit is you can double check your address requirement.

Than you must have the notification of stay, you can use that as proof of address.

My address has been reported in person every time I entered the country by visiting immigration with blue house book and Thai ID. Is this the same procedure for an initial retirement visa application?
