Hey,
I'm having a difficult time with visa stuff at the moment. I was denied entry about 1.5 years ago. I had an active ED visa, went to Suvurnabhumi and got a re-entry permit and left for Bali. Came back 5 days later and then got denied for not having 20k baht on me and the IO saying that I'm working as a teacher. I showed the IO a picture of my condo contract for 65k/month and offered bank statements, but he didn't change his mind. He also made up some sentences to write in Thai letters even though I was only at Thai school for like 3 months and couldn't do it.
This week I tried to get the Elite Visa but upon seeing my denied entry I was told that I am not eligible to apply. I'm not sure what exactly to do about this and what other options I have. It seems odd that Elite is classified as Tourist Visa and I can not apply, yet I am staying in Thailand on Tourist Visa right now. And yeah. Im getting deported by an IO having a bad day despite re-entry permit from a few days prior and an active ED visa and now I can not apply for Elite because of that. Is there any steps I would be able to take to appeal my denied entry and make a case to be eligible for Elite? Has anyone here dealt with similar and found workarounds?
