Does anyone have experience with the 'soft power' document provided by visa agencies for getting the DTV? What is it exactly and does it get you successfully back into Thailand with the DTV? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 'soft power' document is provided by visa agencies to support applications for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand. There are concerns regarding the reliability of these documents, and commenters suggest that individuals should contact training centers or institutions directly, such as gyms or schools, to obtain the necessary documentation. This approach may provide a more direct and trustworthy means of securing DTV approval.

Sounds fishy from the get-go. I'd work directly with the school / gym / whatever.

Ensure that that institution has a record of DTV approvals and through which Embassy.

I know what you mean. That's why I was trying to find out more about it. However, Thai Visa service seems to have a good reputation

If you want to Muay Thai

Decide where, contact training centers, choose one, pay direct

Forget about agents.

Why would you?

I♥️MyPrivateLife it's also a little complicated as it's for my son who has mild disability but will have to cross into Laos by himself while I wait in Nong Khai as I don't have a full page in my passport for the Laos entry visa. The agency can help him too with the forms etc. We can't afford to mess this up! Normally I'd do it myself but this case is different

ResilientFlower5299 you can completely fill out the application before landing in Laos, and once there upload and submit the location documentation such as entry stamp, hotel, Visa etc. your son will also need to go to the consulate to pay.

I♥️MyPrivateLife it seems cheaper through an agency to get their soft power document, whatever that is exactly.

ResilientFlower5299 That's called scamming, do you know?

An agent charges above what a training center/school does, unless it's not real. Good chance you'll lose the money you paid the agent including the visa fee, and not get any DTV. Wake up !

ResilientFlower5299 I would make sure you have contact details of the actual school itself. The agency might not always be available.
