TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a Thai passport for a daughter, a Thai national must go to a passport office with required documents including the child's birth certificate and the mother's identification. Various provinces, particularly larger ones, have passport offices that can assist with the application. The process is generally straightforward and can be completed quickly, with passports issued within days. Online booking systems may also be available for convenience.

We just applied yesterday in Suratthani for my daughters Thai passport (father is Thai)
We needed
- fathers ID
- my passport
- tabien baan where our daughter is registered
- birth certificate
It cost 1040 Baht and we were in and out in 30 minutes, told we will have the passport within 5 days. The most simple of all processes I’ve ever been through here

Just go passport office. There is one 2nd or 3rd floor at villa market area on 2nd road Pattaya near Robin Hood pub.
There is a Thai governmental agency in the subway station at khlong toey who process Thai pp.
I got the passport for my child there .. I think u need to bring birth certificate n mother’s ID.
Pic is taken on the spot.
Cannot remember how much but it’s was nominal.
I believe that there is an online booking system

Most big provinces have an office, IDs and house book, maybe some other paperwork. The passports will arrive within days.
If in Isaan, travel to Khon Kaen might be required.

Wouldn't it be a lot easier for a Thai person to Google this and look up Thai resources than ask a bunch of foreigners how a Thai person gets a Thai passport?
