My Thai girlfriend applied for her new passport in Pattaya on a Friday. The new passport found it's way to her delivered in her hands on the next Tuesday... that's less than 4 days with a weekend included. For me that's crazy coming from RSA. thai people can travel easily with no visas almost all over Asia , I live among very poor people , in C.M. almost everybody I know has a passport . I don't know about Buriram or IsaanMichael ********

they can but, they don’t really, unless they live close to a border. Average Thais don’t really travel. But it’s a very quick and easy process for them to get a passport. I got my partner and daughter a passport within a week.Michael ********

nothing to do as your original statement they dont travel because of visas. There are 35 countries Thais can travel to without having to apply for a visa.Yes it is simple to get a passport in Thailand. Bangkok they even have machines to do it in some shopping malls

my thai family go travel BURMA without passport , in the past they could even go to Burma without Thai ID . The pink ID was enough👍Michael ********

Not by air. different land borders have different regulations especially if the Thai people are members of specific tribes such as Mon or Karen. My self I have been to Burma just went through the Jungle, no passport nothingReply to
