tldr: 1 year Multiple Entry non Immigrant B visa with all documents from check list given under consideration stamp until 30 April.
Full Chaeng Wattana experience today:
On a non-imm b multi-entry (meaning I have to bounce every 90 days) with a stamp expiring on 5 April.
While hindsight is 20-20, I didn't start booking flights until the 16th and then failed to take into account the rapidly changing travel restrictions and alas found myself pretty much out of options this past week.
Today I went to CM at 6:30am with a TM7, STM2, overstay acknowledgment, visa photos, copies of everything (passport, entry stamp, visa, TM6), a letter from the US embassy, and 1900b. I also included one of my flight cancellation letters.
Upon arrival our documents were cursorily checked and we were given a letter + number (I was given M15). We were asked to disperse around the complex until 7:15 at which point we queued distantly and then were slowly allowed to enter the office based on our arrival time.
When my number was called and paperwork more thoroughly reviewed, I was redirected to the N queue where I waited a few more hours. At that point a very nice officer went through everything and noted that the forms I downloaded online were outdated and patiently had me complete new ones there.
She granted me a consideration stamp until 30 April and told me, "come back then then for another stamp... you will need a new letter from your Embassy" without prompting and sent me on my way at about 11:15am.
As for the office itself... they've roped off 75% of the chairs and limited the application numbers but it's still a madhouse. I feel for the staff working there right now, but thankfully they were in surprisingly good moods. They did announce that there would be no more applicants for the day accepted around 11am.
When I arrived home I disinfected everything I had with me and took a shower. I'd suggest anyone else visiting there do the same.
