What is the process for applying for a DTV workation visa in Poland for remote work from Thailand?
Hi everyone, I wanted to share some of my experience regarding applying for DTV workation in Poland.
Documents I've sent (applied on 07.08.2026):
- official bank certificate of account balance
- last 6 incomes from employer
- scan of Polish ID card
- letter from employer stating that I can work remotely from Thailand, my responsibilities and confirming that I'm not working with Thai entities
- employment certificate
- my letter saying what I do in life, what are my plans and stating that I will not work for Thai entities
- booked one way flight to Thailand
- booked hotel in Thailand for 2 weeks
- + all required documents like photo and biodata passport scan
All documents sent in English. I had to translate (sworn translations) only bank documents.
On 11.08 embassy requested scan of all passport pages
On 13.08 embassy requested confirmation of my last trip to Poland from Thailand (boarding pass or ticket - provided both)
After that my status has changed to Pending approval. Today 27.08.2026 on 11 PM I've got email with visa confirmation.
I wanted to thank you everyone on this group for support, and providing updates. It was pretty stresfull 3 weeks (since I saw in Poland visa processing is very fast) but overall eneded very well.
