Yes, there is a DTV medical visa available in Thailand, although obtaining it can be challenging and carries a risk of rejection, resulting in the loss of visa fees. Applicants typically need a comprehensive long-term treatment plan certified by a qualified medical professional. Several individuals have successfully acquired this visa, with experiences suggesting that a detailed treatment plan is essential to improve the chances of approval.
it's apparent from recent reports of those who have tried to get the DTV visa for medical care is finding it MORE difficult with ADDED supportive documents FROM the doctor and hospitals.
I'm waiting for mine with no medical plan at all, just invitation letters, because we're going to see doctors there as our first step. Since now I just joined this group, maybe what I did was too ballsy.
Good luck π... please update us when you have the decision from the Thai Embassy or Consulate where you applied for the DTV visa for medical reasons.
Anonymous participant 481 I had a plan in place, came here for a month prior to applying for my visa, went to the clinic I chose an had initial appointment and discussed my plans to get DTV Visa softpower medical care and ii was lucky the Dr worked with me on my application, didn't hesitate to provide extra documents when asked for, et etc
Yes, but make sure you've a proper long-term treatment plan signed by a reputed doctor/hospital. A bunch of random dentists appointments aren't doing the job anymore.
It can be any kind of medical treatment, dental work and cosmedic treatment too. As for how long the plan has to be seems to vary between consulates, mine is 2 years but itβs only once every 6 months.
