Can someone let me know the easiest way to call the US? I need to get in touch with my bank and I think it’s a toll free number, but my phone won’t let me dial internationally

TLDR : Answer Summary
To call the US from Thailand, several options were suggested by the community. Popular apps include Skype, Yolla, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Google Voice. Users also recommended checking with local phone companies about their international calling services. Using Wi-Fi calling with a US SIM card is also an option. Several respondents noted that Skype allows free calls to US toll-free numbers.

Many variables here. You can try using one of the apps as mentioned. Also check with your cell phone company, might have to visit their website, to see if they have an international calling plan you can add to your plan. Make sure it allows Thailand to your country. Some don't.

Another vote for Skype. I'm sure there are other ways. I recently made a couple international calls with my phone and it wound up adding 600 baht to my bill.

Google Voice lets you make free calls to the USA.

Ask your phone company how to make international calls. I have AIS. I just have to dial 003 first.
Randy ********
Try Talkatone or TextNow. Both are able to make calls, for free.

Yolla is the easiest

We occasionally need to telephone the UK and so have loaded and set-up a Skype account

Was easy to do and is ideal for is, not aware of any reason why it shouldn’t be the same for you

I also use Skype and have it associated with my UK mobile number so that shows up as my caller ID. Works very well.
