Hi guys,

I’ve had a look online but nothing seems clear,

Is it possible to stay in Thailand more than 90 days without having to leave the country and come back ?

I currently live in the Philippines and you can stay there for 3 years, was wondering if there’s anything similar here.

I have a British passport.

Thank you 🙏🏼

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster (OP) inquires about the possibility of staying in Thailand for more than 90 days without needing to leave and return, citing experiences in the Philippines. Responses suggest that the OP should consider applying for a non-immigrant visa, such as the Non-O or the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa), both of which allow longer stays with extensions. The need for specific personal details to receive tailored advice and options for various visa types is also emphasized, alongside recommendations for a visa service in Pattaya.

If you have the financial requirements you can apply for the non-o visa and extend for a year at a time you’ll need a Thai bank account in your name with 800,000 baht for two months before you apply and 3 months after

You need to provide some personal details if you want good advice starting with your age. There are many options for a long term stay in Thailand including working, studying and tourism

DTV Thailand - 5 years. Without going to immigration every 2-3 months like Philippines. Much better in Thailand

Get an elite visa if you want to stay for a long time.

with the new DTV visa along with Non O, there is little reason to buy the expensive Thai privilege visa.

I have a non-O. But both that and the DTV have specific requirements. The Op stated nothing about their circumstances.

With the recent visa updates the Privilege Visa is unnecessary and a big waste if money.

And? Sometimes it’s the only visa they qualify for.

you can get a DTV by pursuing a "soft power" activity: Muay Thai, Thai culinary training, medical training, etc

Why don’t you apply for a decent visa? If you want to stay longtime you are not a tourist!

Not as a tourist it's not. But if you qualify for some type of non-immigrant visa then you can just apply for an extension every year.
