Hi, We are a family from Norway with 2 small kids (2 and 4) looking to move to Thailand in the next months. What is the best way to get a visa for all family and life there for 1 or 2 years. I'm a product designer (45) working in remote and my wife (42) is pensionist.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Norwegian family with young children is seeking advice on obtaining a visa to move to Thailand for 1 to 2 years. Users suggest that the Long-Term Residence (LTR) visa could be suitable, allowing the family to live in Thailand as dependants. There are discussions on the challenges of obtaining the LTR visa and alternative options like starting a business for a SMART visa. Many recommend hiring a visa agent for assistance.

starting your own company with a SMART visa isn't a bad idea either.
