Applied for DTV from Singapore as a Singaporean Citizen through digital nomad scheme.

Applied on 23rd feb

Requested more info on 24th feb

Changed to pending approval on 25feb

Changed to interview request on 12th March 4pm

Interview at 1030am on 13th March*

Visa approved 9am 14th March

*I was asked for my exit stamp from Thailand to ensure that I was not applying for the VISA from Thailand. However, I could not provide this as I departed via self-service gantry where there is no officer to stamp your passport. Prepare to bring alternative evidence like your plane ticket and SG arrival card.

Also please check your email regularly as my interview was scheduled the very next day!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Singaporean citizen details their experience applying for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) from Singapore. They submitted their application on February 23, 2025, received a request for more information the next day, and were later notified for an interview scheduled for March 13, which led to visa approval on March 14. Key points include the need to provide alternative evidence like a plane ticket, due to the absence of an exit stamp from Thailand, and the importance of checking email regularly for interview scheduling. The comments from other users raise questions about the strictness of document checks and any associated fees.

did you have previous visa(s) in Thailand before applying, curious why they wanted to prove you weren't in thailand. If you did, did they question you about it?

I had a edu visa awhile back (2 years ago) but they didn’t ask me about it. I suspect the embassy is not privy to the immigration department’s info regarding your previous time spent. Bevwusey they had to ask me about my past trips instead of checking their system.

Thanks for the DTV E–Visa Fee Payment information!

Was hoping you were able to take advantage of the benefits of the Bilateral Visa Fee Exemption Agreement between Singapore and Thailand, like Malaysia and Thailand, but, unfortunately, apparently the DTV E–Visa Fee is excluded for Singapore!

Doc check was everything they asked for on the website. However, they were ok with alternatives to prove I was staying in SG. Instead of title deed/rental contract, a letter from family was accepted (i stay with my parents in SG).

For digital nomad route, they also required evidence of past salary being deposited into my bank acount.

Visa fee was $500
