I want to share my experience with my DTV application process in Singapore. I applied for a workcation visa as an S-pass holder. As I couldn't find much information about Singapore and came across several comments mentioning that the process in Singapore required too many documents, and I can confirm that it really is.

Jan 3rd (Fri) - Submitted my application

Jan 6th (Mon) - They asked for additional documents because there weren't available upload sessions when I first submitted them.

Jan 7th (Tue) - They called me to request more proof of my residence in Thailand, including the owner's ID, lease agreement, invitation letter from my friend currently residing there and his passport.

Jan 9th (Thu) - Pending Approval

Jan 15th (Wed) - Returned to β€œPending document check”

Late evening on Jan 15th, called me to resubmit my S-Pass, despite already submitting it.

On Jan 16th, I emailed them to check on my application status as my travel date is approaching. An hour later, my visa was approved.

I hope this helps those planning to submit in Singapore. Also BIGGG thanks to everyone who helped with my questions in this forum. πŸ«΅πŸ™

Why would they ask a proof of residence in thailand to issue a Visa that's supposed to be used to come to thailand in the future once it's issued?

Such a weird requirement.

I know right. I mentioned I’d stay at a friend's until I find a permanent place then they asked for an invitation letter and other additional proofs. Otherwise, need to provide a hotel booking for at least 2weeks.

Malaysia asks for the same.

Not at all surprised.

Yeah sorry, it wasn't a comment directly to you. It seems i got carried away and it turned into more like a little general rant πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ

it is ok. The points you made are why so many avoid applying there.

It doesn't make it any less weird that another country also asks the same. They make you organise and pay in advance for a trip and accommodation that may not even happen if you get rejected. How is anyways relevant or valuable for the visa-purposes at all for them to know an address where you're going to stay? You may end up staying somewhere else after! Basically, what's the point really for them to have all that information. By all means, you'll need to stay somewhere, but why would they need to know in advance before you even set food in the country and haven't even had a chance to find a place you may like... πŸ™„πŸ₯΄
