Has anyone landed on Samui with the new DTV? If so how did it go? I am flying from Changi to Samui instead of BBK tonight and wondered how the immigration was there with regards to this new visa. Thanks 🙏🏻

TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent experiences shared by travelers arriving in Samui with the new Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) suggest that while immigration officials may not be very familiar with this visa yet, the process is relatively quick. Some travelers had supervisors called over for verification, but overall, the experience is smoother compared to the initial introduction of the Long-Term Resident (LTR) visa.

Yes there will be some discussion but not as bad as LTR because that I have as it’s very rare. I had to wait 30 minutes once. Now it’s quick

Cheers Brandon, this was what I was thinking.. and I've still not sent what they actually put in the passport for the DTV yet. I'll find out later

just a 180 day stamp is all you will get in your passport when entering Thailand

Expect to have a supervisor or 2 called over as most haven't seen this visa yet. Same thing happened when I got my LTR visa for 3-4 months afterwards.
