My Friend is an American got a 30day visa then am extension for 30 days. He would like another 30day extension does he have to leave the country? Or can he just get a 30day extension.
Answer summary
The friend of the user, an American citizen, has already received a 30-day visa and an extension for another 30 days. Unfortunately, he cannot get another 30-day extension without leaving Thailand. It is typically required to exit the country and re-enter to obtain another 30-day stamp, as only one 30-day extension is allowed per entry.

Your friend should have got a visa before travelling (there is no 30 day visa) then he would have got 60 days on arrival and another 30 with the extension. Lesson learned.
No additional 30-day extension for this entry. He must depart the country. He could apply for an extension. It will be denied and they will give him seven days. The idea being 'leave Thailand within those seven days'.
Beay Dudish that’s after he gets another 30 days on visa exemption, you get 2, 40 days a year but only 1 30 day extension the 2nd like you said is only 7
