Can I use proof of liquid assets in a securities account for the Muay Thai Workation Visa application?

I am a Japanese applicant currently in the process of applying for the Muay Thai Workation Visa.

There is an issue with the financial requirement: for the proof of 500,000 THB in funds, I submitted three documents showing my liquid assets held in a securities account (for the past 6 months, 3 months, and current balance), since I hold most of my assets in a securities account rather than a bank account.

However, I was asked again to submit a bank statement showing the 3-month average balance.

Are there any members here who have successfully used proof of liquid assets in a securities account instead of a traditional bank statement?

Also, I have heard that recently many Muay Thai Workation Visa applications are being rejected — do we know how many applicants have been approved recently?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Japanese applicant is in the process of securing a Muay Thai Workation Visa but is facing challenges with the financial proof requirement, specifically about demonstrating 500,000 THB in funds. The applicant submitted documents from a securities account instead of a traditional bank statement, leading to confusion and potential rejection. Community comments elaborate that most embassies expect proof from a traditional bank account, with only a few individuals having success when using statements from securities accounts. There is also concern regarding the increasing number of rejection cases for this visa.

I also submitted proof of assets using the liquid assets and cash held in my securities account. Initially, I provided my balance from three months prior, and it was accepted. However, this is not considered the standard method. That said, considering recent financial trends, I think many younger people nowadays keep most of their assets in securities accounts and only keep enough in bank accounts for daily living expenses. So, this approach may become more common in the future, but since institutions still tend to be conservative, I think it’s important to keep that in mind when applying.

It needs to be a bank account. If you get rejected that's probably the reason, not the gym's fault.

Securities and stocks won’t fly.

Example 1 april - 30 april ending balance should be 500k for 3 consecutive months . If not they will reject

Where have you applied? Vast majority of embassies require the 500k in a personal bank account with immediate access. Many Muay Thai applications are approved as posts in the threads show. No official numbers i know of regarding each option of the DTV.

You need the money in a traditional bank account. Money invested in stocks is no good. Also if you are applying via Muay Thai you are applying for Soft Power not Workation, they have also been known to want to see how you intend to support yourself

Most embassies require traditional bank statements. However, a few people have been successful, but with specific embassies, which I believe have been in Europe
