TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the nuances of Thai visa renewal, including the potential impact of the specific visa type a person holds and the timing of the renewal process in relation to the departure and return to immigration.

Is the renewal from Nov 30 or from the date you return to immigration. For example, If you went to re-apply o the 25th, received the ‘under consideration’ stamp, do you cut yourself short?

Its supposed to be added onto your current expiration date but someone got an extension yesterday and they stamped him from the date he applied for the extension. The post should be in here from yesterday, not sure if its a new policy or a mistake.

there is definitely some confusion as to which date is applicable. Which could force crazier lineups at end month, versus early visit for next 60 day

Does it matter what kind of visa you are currently on?

It doesn't.
