What does the 'Out-A' immigration stamp I received upon re-entering Thailand mean?

I have a question regarding the immigration stamp. When I re-entered thailand, I got a 'Out-A' stamp which I did not get before. Does anyone know what this means?

Some background information. Not sure if it's helpful or not. I have been studying thai in Thailand for about 1.5 years. The first 1 year 2 months, I had an ED-Visa. The other 4 months I had a normal visa-exempt in which I had to do a border run. For the last 6 months of my studies, I studied in Chula.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 'Out-A' stamp you received indicates that you did not have a departure stamp due to using the e-gate during your last exit from Thailand. This stamp is a record of your re-entry and confirms your legal immigration status despite lacking a previous departure stamp.

please elaborate ... What does this have to do with the original post?

Didn't you use e-gate (automatic gate) when you left Thailand last time? It just shows that you don't have a departure stamp since you went through the stampless e-Gate for the latest departure, still, your arrival and departure history are correct and legal.

Yes, I used the automatic gate. That's a great relief! I wanted to do an ED-Visa for this round and I thought the 'out-a' stamp would affect my application. Thank you so much! πŸ™
